Summer Dreams

Wishing all our families a wonderful Summer break.  We are already excited for new adventures in September but the children have worked very hard this year and they have earned a fantastic, fun-packed holiday!  The same goes for our teachers!!

Here are the two poems Mrs Baker has read to children and families this week after the Year 6 performances.  The words perfectly match our ethos and philosophy here at Lawford Mead.

See you in September!

Kind online

We discussed online safety in our KS2 assembly again today, just in time for the school holidays when children may be spending more time on digital devices.

What messages stand out to you from this video on cyber bullying that we watched together?

What positive things can we do to take care of ourselves…and each other?

Be smart and stay safe…

I hope you wouldn’t ride a bike without a helmet…

And I’m sure you wouldn’t run across a road without looking…

But do you use social media without privacy settings in place?

Some of our pupils tell us they use apps like Whatsapp, music.ly and Instagram.  Some even chat with people online when playing on their xbox or playstation.

We watched the video below  in a KS2 assembly.  What can you learn from it?

Find out more here if you are a pupil and here if you are a parent.
