Anti-Bullying Week 2017

November 13th to 17th is Anti-Bullying Week 2017.  It is a special week that we support and celebrate every year at Lawford Mead.

Last year we got involved with the #Standuptobullying campaign and pupils and staff all took pledges to do their part.  See last year’s gallery here.

This year the theme of the week is ‘All Different, All Equal’.  Children can buy wristbands for 50p at break and lunch from Thursday November the 9th so they can wear one during Anti-Bullying Week to show their support.

And, as always, we will be renewing our class anti-bullying contracts.  Children agree on a definition, a motto and then promises before all signing the contract to show that, together, we will tackle bullying in all its forms.

Watch this official video from the Anti-Bullying Alliance to find out more about the campaign we are supporting.  Leave a comment below saying what ‘All Different, All Equal’ means to you.

Happy Half Term!

We have had a fantastic start to the year.  Children have been working so hard they have definitely earned a break!

The staff here at Lawford Mead would like to wish you all a fun and relaxing week with family and friends.

After half term we will be launching our new safe parking scheme in partnership with Chelmsford City Council.  Watch this space for more information and find out more by clicking on the image above.

See you on the 30th for more adventures in learning!

Help At Harvest Time

We are still taking donations for the Chelmsford Foodbank. Thank you to all who have donated so far.

No one in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why the Chelmsford Foodbank provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
