Luke has worked hard this week to increase his stamina for writing and has showed great resilience. He has also shown aspiration across the curriculum as this great piece of writing was from his Humanities book! Well done Luke 🙂
What S2S can you see?
Today, Rowan class took part in our LMPS Anti-Bullying campaign. We made pledges on how each of us will stand up to bullying.
This week we have been designing and making our moveable vehicles! This has involved sawing and gluing the chassis, designing a net for the body and fixing the wheels and axles. Next, we need to construct the electronics before we can go for a test drive!
In DT this week, Rowan have started researching different elements of moveable vehicles, ready to get designing their own buggies!

Which side of the argument do you agree with?
Last week, we wrote some war poetry in the lead up to remembrance day. These children showed a particular talent for writing poetry and showed great aspiration and resilience. They also showed passion when reading reading them out to the Year 4s – well done girls!
In literacy this week, we have been learning and understanding a poem about World War One – ‘For the Fallen’ by Laurence Binyon. It discusses Great Britain during the war and why it is important to remember service men and women. We are also going to be writing our own versions of the poem!
