This half term, Rowan had been collecting class dojo points to earn their class treat: Muddy Adventures!
We played hide and seek, had a den building competition and ate hot dogs!
A big thank you to Miss Lindsay for organising a great afternoon!

Yesterday, Year 6 were the first year group to perform to the rest of Key Stage 2 and their parents. They worked incredibly hard to put on a great show all about Street Child, Oliver Twist and school life during the Victorian era.

This week, we have been learning about the influential figure Jackie Robinson and all the inspirational work he completed for the civil rights movement in America. We wrote letters to him, asking him questions about his life story and completed artwork by sketching using light and shade.
Cody worked really hard this week to write the introduction to a formal letter written to the owner of a Victorian mine, complaining about the poor conditions.
What S2S can you see in his writing?
On Thursday 6th October, Year 6 had the chance to experience a Victorian school room, go on a steam train and even meet Queen Victoria! They also watched a Punch and Judy puppet show (a poplar choice of entertainment for children back in the Victorian era) and learnt about the railway by visiting the signal box, engine and carriages.
Today we were lucky enough to have some artefacts brought in from Victorian times. We looked at the artefacts and tried to guess what they were used for. Do you know what they were used for?
