Our trip to Hyde Hall!

This week we went on a lovely trip to Hyde Hall!

Over the course of the day we took part in lots of fun activities, we got to: build a home for minibeasts; feed the ducks (some of us got very close to them!); explore different plants and tree’s; make plant pots out of newspaper; collect rose petals, which we then used to make a bookmark and so much more!

We had such a lovely day at Hyde Hall, the children were very well-behaved and engaged so well with all the activities, well done Year 2!

What was your favourite part of the day? Comment below and let us know!

Mini Olympics

Despite the awful weather, it did not stop us attending the Mini Olympics at Melbourne Sports Stadium.

All of Year Two had an enjoyable and fun afternoon doing various activities. These included running, jumping and throwing. We had great fun singing along with the brass band. Who knew Ed Sheeran could sound so good! We were also very lucky to have The Mayor of Chelmsford observing and presenting awards. He told us that Lawford Mead was very special to him as it was the school he attended when he was younger. I wonder what he would think of our school now?

We are very proud of the effort and sportsmanship year two showed throughout the afternoon. What great ambassadors they were!
