Busy Busy Bethlehem!
What a busy week we’ve had in Key Stage 1. We’ve not only been learning about coding, times tables, phonics, letters to Santa and writing exciting stories. We’ve also made lots Christmas decorations, cards and folders. Somehow in between all of this we have eaten a wonderful Christmas lunch served by the teachers, some of us have sung in the choir to an audience at school and in our Lawford Mead community. ‘Busy Busy Bethlehem’ was a very apt title for our very busy week rehearsing ready for our performance next week. Talking of next week we are all really looking forward to our Christmas party day on Friday with a DVD in the morning and then party food and games after lunch. Look out for a sticker to collect from each class so that you can help provide a savoury, sweet or healthy snack to enjoy at our party.
Mrs Baxter likes Christmas jokes, here’s one she told me…
“Why was Cinderella no good at football ”
“Because she was always running away from the ball”
Do you know any better jokes?
Year Two were very sad this week as it was the last muddy adventure lesson for this year. It has been very pleasing to see how the children have progressed in both confidence and social skills as a result of these lessons. Everyone found that muddy adventures was a lot of fun, as you can see from the photos. We would like to say a big thank you to Miss Lindsay and all of the adults who went out every week to ensure that muddy adventures was both fun and safe.
Hello everyone in Birch!
Just wanted to say how much I am enjoying my time in your class. I have reported some wonderful things to Santa and he is really excited about all of your learning.
I love my time in the evening when I can get up to mischief!
I have lots planned from now until you break up. I wonder what I will be doing tonight?
Lots of Elf kisses
Eighteen more sleeps until Santa!
We have been busy in Year Two! This week we are practising our Christmas Production, Busy Busy Bethlehem. Thank you all for learning your lines. Remember to keep practising at home using a BIG voice! We are sure that the performances are going to be amazing and look forward to seeing your families at the productions.
This week will be our last Muddy Adventures. Please remember that you do not need to get muddy, as in the afternoon we will be wearing our Christmas jumpers and enjoying a delicious dinner.
Don’t forget to look at the advent calendar on the school website.
Bye for now!
