Year 3 started their 'Gods and Mortals' topic with a visit from a storyteller from Victrix! He taught the children lots of stories from Ancient Greece, including the Trojan war, the story of Icarus who flew too close to the sun, and the famous fable 'The boy who cried wolf'. Year 4 kick started their ‘I Am Warrior’ topic with a special Victrix visitor too! They learnt all about what Roman soldiers wore, their armour and weapons and even got to re-enact the famous tortoise formation.
