Reading:

Read the letter from Stan about being on a boat. Any words you are unsure of, ask an adult or google them. Then answer the reading questions (remember you don’t need to print them out). The answers are at the bottom of the sheet so make sure you check!

Writing:

This week we are going to be finding out about Anne Frank, who lived in hiding during World War 2 and wrote a diary about her experience.

Task 3: Answer the 8 quiz questions based on the PowerPoint. The questions and answers are also on the sheet.

Foundation – German

Today you are going to be writing a paragraph of at least 5 sentences in German about Mr Tom and William. Hopefully you have a good idea about what each of them is like. If you don’t know much about them, just have a go at making up your own sentences. Use this sentence building grid:

  1. Here is an example sentence. What does it mean in English? Mr Tom ist immer liebevoll und Willy ist oft hungrig.

2. Now your turn: Using the sentence builder grid write at least 5 sentences about the characters of Mr Tom and Willy. You could even illustrate your work with pictures relevant to Goodnight Mister Tom.
