In English we continued to write our narratives using the SPAG skills that we have learnt so far. Have a go at these activities to remind yourself of those skills:

In maths we used our knowledge of prime numbers, composite numbers, factors. square and cubed numbers to complete some activities.

Don’t forget you can use factors bugs to help you! Have a go at prime numbers and factors.

Today’s learning 16/11/20

In maths today, we learned about prime numbers. Prime numbers are those that can only be divided by itself and 1. We applied our learning by working through the activity sheet below.

In English, we found out about using dashes for parenthesis and use the activity sheet below.

In reading, we continued our class read. So log onto Epic and spend half an hour reading a book of your choice.

Today’s learning 13/11/20

In maths, we consolidated our learning of multiples and factors, by playing the board game below. This contains instructions as to how to play.

Don’t forget to use two different colours and record the number sequence you generate. Happy puzzling!!!!

In English, we edited and redrafted our formal letter applying for being a subject champion. We used a dictionary to check our spellings and tried to uplevel some of our vocabulary choices using a thesaurus. We kept in mind the success criteria of our letter to ensure we had covered all the aspects required.

Don’t forget to ensure using modal verbs and powerful persuasive sentence starters. See some hints below.

In Reading, we continued with our class read so spend 30 minutes on epic and write a summary of the book that you have been reading and send a picture on SeeSaw.

Why not spend some time on Times Tables Rockstars to improve your speed and accuracy of recall of your times tables.
