Week 3 Homework

Have a go at the following activities and then submit your work on Seesaw, using the Seesaw code that has been stuck into your Reading Records. You can complete it either on a piece of paper or by printing the sheets:

Spellings:

English:

This week we will be revising using commas to clarify what we mean when we are writing. Watch the video below:

Now rewrite these sentences using commas to change what they mean (not every two sentences need commas on both of them), the final picture is from a real magazine and shows how important commas for clarification is!

Maths:

The maths homework this week is consolidating your understanding of rounding decimals.  You can always take another look at the rounding rap song to remind you which digits to circle and consider for either rounding up or down.

Choose the appropriate challenge level for you from the activity below. (Tricky has 1d.p.   Trickier involves 2 d.p.   and Trickiest uses 3 d.p.)

As an extension consider the athlete score cards below and use them to answer the challenge question sheet.

The answers are attached at the bottom of the sheets or as an additional document – no peeking!!

Don’t forget to use Times Tables Rockstars and Spelling Shed. Also, write in your Reading Record when you read at home, then put all of your work on SeeSaw.
