Home Learning 28/1/21

Hello, Year 5! Here is our Happy Picture of the Day:

Below is the home learning for today. Remember that you don’t need to print off the work you can complete it on a separate piece of paper.

Each day we expect you to complete:

-20 minutes of reading

-20 minutes of Times Table Rockstars

-20 minutes of Spelling Shed

Write your Newspaper Reports using your planning from yesterday. You can use the checklist from day 1 to help remind you of what you need to include. Have a look at Miss Cope’s modelled example to help. Apologies for it being sideways!

Read this extract from Cosmic and answer the questions next to it.

Today, we are extending our learning by dividing four digits by one digit and this introduces the formal method. As on previous blog posts, there is a video link below to support your understanding of the layout and how to tackle the calculations.

Like yesterday, do not worry about the reference to questions on a worksheet. When you are ready, look at the questions on the worksheet below and choose the appropriate challenge level for you.

This week’s story: ‘Clap for Carers’ has returned in 2021 as ‘Clap for Heroes’.

Question: How can we show our thanks to those who help us?

The answers are at the bottom of the PDF documents, no peeking! We can’t wait to see your work on Seesaw.

    Hi Miss Cope,
Your spelling of reiterated is incorrect by one letter!
You spelt it reitereated but it should be spelt reiterated!
