Year 5 were visited by 7 apprentices from Teledyne E2V this week. They were taught all about forces, which was a great recap for our previous science learning and a fantastic opportunity for the children to show off what they already knew. The children were set a challenge to design and make a vehicle that can go down a ramp whilst keeping an egg safe inside the vehicle. There was some brilliant group work and problem solving throughout the activity, which enabled most of the children to be successful, finishing the activity with the egg in one piece. Unfortunately, due to some design faults, some eggs were harmed in the making and testing of some vehicles. The children all had a brilliant time and we would like to thank E2V for visiting us and offering us this enjoyable opportunity.
