English: This week we are looking at adding the suffix ‘ing’ at the end of words. The last 3 words are from Year 3/4 spelling list.

  1. Practise your spellings for this week using look, cover, write, check. Practise each word 5 times and then put 5 of these words into sentences.

2. Practice your spellings on Spelling Shed (your username and password is stuck to your reading record).

3. Remember to read and record it in your reading record every night!  🙂

Week 6 Home learning

English: Children have been busy planning and writing their non- chronological report. They were asked to choose one of the topics from the Stone Age, Bronze Age and the Iron Age.

Reading: We read part of chapter 4 from our whole class reading book, The Stig of the dump and answered the following questions:

Maths: We have started our new unit of learning – Money. We have been learning about converting pounds to pence and vice-versa. We have also worked on adding money. Have a look at the following videos and then try completing the worksheets attached.

Home learning Spring 1 Week 5

In English this week we have started to look at Non-Chronological reports.

We are going to planning our own report on the Stone age, Bronze age or Iron age and using a grid to plan each paragraph by taking notes from information on different websites.
