The week started with learning about the inventor John Logie Baird! Can you remember what he helped to invent?

This afternoon we also learnt about the formation of rocks. As part of this we did a ‘simulation’ where we simulated a sedimentary rock being formed by making a sandwich! The different ingredients in our sandwich represented the different things that make up sedimentary rock. We than had to compress our ‘sediment’.

The three types of rock are igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic and I think igneous comes from dried out lava.
