What a fabulous week we had in Year 1 during Science Week.

Week looked at how the Eifel Tower was made and constructed our own using spaghetti and marshmellows.

We went on a nature hunt in the school grounds to find different types of invertebrates.

During design and technology we created crocodiles using egg boxes and they had a moving jaw.

Thank you to all of our Mums, Aunts and Grans who joined us on Thursday, we had such a great time when we tried to solve the crime in our Forensic Science workshop.

On Thursday and Friday we made parachutes for Tim Peake using lots of different materials and launched them from the top of the stairs to see which material was the best to make a parachute.

Friday afternoon we constructed our own bridge using only newspaper and sellotape.

Which activity did you like the best?

Is there any wonder we were all so exhausted after a week in Year 1!
