Well, we don’t see weather like this too often do we?! Our Zooms are still happening today and the remote learning content is all on the blogs and Tapestry for you. BUT, please do make the most of the snow! Some of our younger pupils will barely remember seeing snow like this in their lifetime! Playing in the snow can inspire some great writing and art too!
Remember that this Friday is our ‘Digital Detox Day’ so we plan to get the assembly video out on Thursday so you don’t have to be on screens on Friday. Find out more about DDD in recent newsletters.

I would like to nominate Talbot in Chestnut for completing his home learning tasks diligently everyday this term. He always produces such detailed and neat work, he has worked incredibly hard.
I would also like to nominate Aashna and Harveylee in Chestnut class as they have only joined LMPS this term and have been incredibly brave joining the Zoom calls and have been attending them everyday and posting work on Seesaw too. Well done.
I would like to nominate Bradley in Rosewood for his amazing attitude, independence and hard work during the school closure. He organises himself well and uploads his work daily, often challenging himself in Maths. He contributes (with great enthusiasm) on the zoom calls. The Year 6 team have all been very impressed!
I would like to nominate a few stars from Ash class who have been absolutely diligent in posting their work on Seesaw. These amazing children are Riley, Jenson, Jonathan, Joshua and Dryden. I would also like to nominate Logan who has been brilliant too! I’m so impressed with all the hard work that these children have done every single day. Well done, Children! We are extremely proud of you!
I would like to nominate Elodie in Birch for a HoS award for demonstrating excellent culinary skills to cook a full menu for her family.
I would also like to nominate Allira in Birch for a HoS award for showing passion for comedy in her stand up routine sent through on seesaw.
For WOTW, I would like to nominate 2 people.
– Adele for trying hard with her full stops and capital letters and editing/improving her work to be the best that it can be!
– I would also like to nominate Eugene for showing resilience and aspiration to start writing sentences in his English work and working hard to write his name independently.
I would like to nominate Florence in Redwood who has demonstrated a respectful and hardworking attitude to her learning while in school during the keyworker provision. When she has not been in school, she has ensured her work is up to date and posted on Seesaw. Not only this, she has helped keep the classroom tidy and safe for those of us working in school. Lastly, she has has strived to challenge herself every day, taking on feedback in a mature manner. Thank you for being a star Florence!
I would like to nominate Connor in Pine for his fantastic singing voice which has made us all smile during key-worker provision. Not only this, I would like to nominate him for Reader of the Week as he has been enjoying the class text Cosmic, making great predictions and reading aloud with fantastic expression.
I would like to nominate Lily H in Redwood for her continuous improvement in her arithmetic scores weekly, joining in with all the year group zooms and presenting her work neatly on Seesaw.
i would like to Jay in poplar and jack in larch. they have both been working extra hard on all the school work and have also been helping with the dishes. i am very proud of them both.

I would like to nominate Sophie in Poplar. She has worked very hard this entire term, her work on Seesaw has be excellent and she always challenges herself. She loves to take part in the Zoom calls and always wants to give lots of answers. I’m very proud of her!
I would like to nominate Ami-Mae in pine, she has been so wonderful in her perseverance of maths especially fractions and it is starting to pay off she is starting to get the hang of it and I am super proud of her. I know she has struggled with this lockdown but she keeps putting in the effort even when she’s had off days

I would like to nominate my brother Billy because he plays phonics play and tried his best .
I would like to nominate Emma in Bonsai for HOS award for having such a positive attitude towards her learning throughout the school closure. Her work is always well organised and extremely neat and she always shows off her best handwriting. She uploads her work daily on seesaw and even continues with her extra spelling, times tables and reading practise. What fantastic aspiration, we are so impressed!
WOTW_I would like to nominate 2 people this week. Firstly Jamie in Bonsai for his very detailed and gripping story about a castle and for his outstanding improvement in his handwriting. Secondly, Jake in Bonsai For his interesting story about a castle as he used lovely clear sentences and included some great adjectives. We are very proud of both of you, well done!
I would like to nominate Layla R (Redwood) and Maisey R (Chestnut) for showing such resilience these past couple of months. They have both worked hard on their school work everyday, been doing Joe Wicks P.E 3 days a week and been helping me around the house. They can’t wait to get back to school and see everyone but in the meantime we are so proud of how they have been getting on with everything.

Good morning. I would like to nominate Jamie from Pine class. She has worked very hard this week and has shown resilience in her maths work and she has even helped me with some fractions which I find quite tricky. I would like to nominate Michael in Bonsai for Head of School award for doing a really good job with home schooling this week. He has shown much more passion for it this week than he did last week. I think last week he was (like many of us) getting lockdown fatigue. But this week he’s applied himself much more and shown great resilience.
I would like to nominate Frida from Bonsai for always being ready and eager to learn in her zoom calls and trying her very best every morning, concentrating until lunchtime. You have such a positive attitude, Mummy and Daddy are so proud of you. You are a fantastic role model for your little sister and your love for learning is fantastic!
I would like to nominate Albie X. Every single morning before he is dressed or ate breakfast he logs into the computer to see what work he has to complete. He never complains or has to be told to do his work, he just does it. I’m very proud of him.
