So we have reached the end of our first term in year 1 and haven’t we been busy!
Here are some of our highlights:
Making a den in Muddy Adventures.
Comparing things that are old and new in History.
Investigating light and shadow in Science.
Learning to use the Macbooks.
Using primary and secondary colours to make pictures in the style of the famous artist Mondrian.
Performing anti-bullying scenes to the class.
Writing letters to Santa.
Meeting the Gingerbread Man.
and Making Christingles.
Wow! How fabulous were Key Stage One in their Christmas production of ‘Straw and Order’. I was blown away by their singing and acting such clear loud voices and the dancing was wonderful.
Today we have been treated to a live performance in our school hall of ‘The Gingerbread Man’. The children sat beautifully and sang with great enthusiasm.
Don’t all of Silverbell look fabulous in their Christmas jumpers.
We have had a great day, we made our brilliant hats this morning and this afternoon we enjoyed making a variety of Christmas decorations to take home.
We had a fantastic lunch made by Jackie and her team in the kitchen, even some of the children said that they had enjoyed the sprouts the best!
We made snowflakes, Christmas wreaths, and hanging decorations for our Christmas trees.
You can see we have had a great time from the photos below.
